Beržynė Farmhouse Terms and Conditions of Service (hereinafter referred to as the Rules)

These Rules apply to all visitors (hereinafter referred to as “Buyer”, “Guest”) purchasing accommodation and additional services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) at Beržynė Farmhouse and coming to Beržynė Farmhouse. By making a reservation for the Services, Purchasers acknowledge that they have read and agree to be bound by the following rules.

Booking and cancellation of holiday homes:

1. Reservations for the cottages and services can be made on the Beržynė website www.berzyne.lt. Reservations are confirmed only after full payment has been made by the chosen payment method.
2. “Customers booking Beržynė services (including accommodation) are obliged to complete a guest registration card for Beržynė upon check-in. Guests fill in the registration card using the link in the booking confirmation letter or fill in the paper registration card form provided in the lodge (Order of the Director of the State Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy ‘On the Approval of the Description of the Procedure for Registration of Nationals of Member States and Other States to be Accommodated’, 5 December 2011, p. No V-154. For more information on the use of personal data, see “Privacy Policy”).
3. If the guest does not agree to fill in the registration card and/or provide his/her personal data, as required by the current legislation of the Republic of Lithuania, the representatives of “Beržyne” reserve the right not to provide the services ordered – in this case, the fees paid by the buyer to “Beržyne” for the services not provided shall not be returned.
4. If the reservation is cancelled more than 7 (seven) days before the arrival time, 100% of the total amount of the reservation will be refunded to the buyer. If the reservation is cancelled 3 (three) days or more before the arrival time, 50% of the amount of the chalet reservation will be refunded. If the reservation is less than 3 (three) days before arrival, no refund will be given for any reason (the chalets or the environment did not meet expectations, health of the guest or family members, etc.). In all cases of cancellation, the purchaser will be reimbursed 100% of the money paid for the additional services ordered but not provided (bath, sauna, pet, etc.).
5. For cancellation of a reservation, the buyer must contact Beržynė only in writing, by e-mail to info@berzyne.lt. The cancellation request shall specify the booking number. If the Buyer does not receive confirmation of the cancellation within 24 hours, the Buyer must call the telephone number on the website www.berzyne.lt to check whether his/her request has reached Beržynė’s representatives.
6. If the rentals and other services booked are cancelled for any reason by the representatives of Beržynė, the purchasers of Beržynė’s services will be refunded 100% of the money paid. The refund shall be made within 7 calendar days. No additional refunds (other than the discount code) will be given to guests.
7. Services are invoiced only after the services have been fully rendered.
8. The service provider Beržynė may change the prices of services at any time.

Booking and cancelling additional services:

9. “Beržynė offers the possibility to order additional services (bath, camado, sauna, massage, etc.) during your stay at Beržynė. The reservation is made by booking the services on the “Beržynė” website “Reservation > Additional services”, at least 24 (twenty-four) hours before the desired services are to be provided from the time of booking, except for the massage service. These must be booked at least 7 days before the desired service.
10. If the guest wishes to cancel the additional services booked by “Beržynė” (bath, kamado, sauna, massage, etc.), the guest must inform the representative of “Beržynė” in writing by e-mail: info@berzyne.lt at least seven (7) hours prior to the scheduled time of the service. Cancellation of massage services must be made at least 24 (Twenty-four) hours before the time of service. If the client does not inform the representative of Beržynė in writing of the cancellation of the additional services in accordance with the procedure set out in this clause, the ordered service shall be deemed to have been rendered and no refund shall be made. If the additional services have been booked during the guest’s stay at Beržynė and have not been cancelled in writing in accordance with the above procedure, the guest shall remain liable to pay for the additional services in accordance with the invoice provided by Beržynė’s representative.
11. “Beržynė reserves the right to refuse to provide services requested by guests to intoxicated persons if, after being informed by other guests of Beržynė, they assess that the guest’s intoxicated behaviour may cause harm to the guest’s own health and safety or to the health and safety of third parties staying at Beržynė, or cause damage to Beržynė’s material property or to third parties’ property. In this case, Beržynė will consider the services provided to the guest to have been rendered, and the money paid for the suspended and/or unprovided services will not be refunded to the drunken guest. This clause shall be deemed to be an essential condition for the provision of services by Beržynė. “The guest who orders the services of Beržynė undertakes to comply with this condition and not to contest it.

Internal rules:

12. Check-in: from 15.00, check-out: until 11.00
13. The house can accommodate 4 people at a time. The correct number of guests is the responsibility of the person making the reservation. It is strictly forbidden to accept additional persons at the discretion of Beržynė (including third parties who arrive for a short stay and do not stay at Beržynė).
14. Quiet time in “Beržynė”: 22.00 – 07.00
15. There are no parties at Beržynė.
16. It is FORBIDDEN to use the nature of the “Beržynė” area for toilet purposes.
17. Smoking is forbidden in the “Beržynė” chalets and sauna, as well as in other buildings on the property. If smoking takes place on the Beržynė grounds (outside the buildings), the cigarette butt must be properly and safely extinguished (without damaging the trees or plants or the lawn of the grounds) and disposed of in the bins provided. It is forbidden to throw cigarette butts in the environment.
18. It is FORBIDDEN to build a bonfire in a place other than the designated “Beržynė” area. There is a specific bonfire area in the Beržynė area for bonfires. Firewood is stored in a firewood box next to the fire pit, which is sufficient to keep the fire warm and provide a cosy 1-2 hour chat. It is FORBIDDEN to cut down trees and plants inside or outside the territory of “Beržynė” for the bonfire.
19. It is forbidden to leave electrical appliances on and running unattended, and to leave a campfire burning.
20. It is FORBIDDEN to play loud music, make noise, shout or otherwise disturb the rest of the guests or the peace of the surrounding village.
21. It is forbidden to take outside any furniture or textiles (towels, bed linen, bedspreads, bedspreads) that are not suitable for the outside. Guests will find special outdoor blankets in the chalet.
22. It is forbidden to bring and use candles burning in open flames (both in the caravan and outdoors) – candles are a serious fire hazard.
23. It is FORBIDDEN to vandalise the property (breaking trees, trampling plants and flower beds, littering).
24. It is FORBIDDEN to leave uncollected pet excrement on the premises.
25. The services booked MUST be used in accordance with the principles of fairness and reasonableness. YOU MUST endeavour not to harm yourself and other guests, and to preserve the Beržynė grounds, buildings and equipment for the arrival or personal return of others.
26. Before leaving the homestead, you MUST be present when the rented premises and valuables are handed over to the landlord.

Pets:

27. “Beržynė charges a single fee for each pet that arrives, regardless of the length of time the guests have booked at Beržynė: dog / cat (EUR 15). The money is used for pet sanitation, blankets, maintenance of Beržynė’s inventory and grounds after the pets’ stay.
28. A maximum of 2 pets (dogs/ cats) can be brought in the house at the same time.
29. It is strictly forbidden to bathe your pet in the shower of the holiday home when you arrive with your pet (due to the risk of clogging the shower trap with your pet’s fur). If you need to wash your pet’s paws, they must be washed in the bowl provided and dried with the towel provided.
30. Pets sleeping in the same bed with their owners must bring their own bed linen (pets’ fur is difficult to wash off on white guest bedding). Bed linen dimensions: blankets 140×200 cm, sheets 180×200 cm. In view of this circumstance, the price of Beržynė’s services shall not be reduced.
31. If you arrive with your pet, please make sure to cover our soft furnishings with pet-specific rugs (unless your pet has its own favourite personal rug and is sensitive to other animals’ smells).
32. It is forbidden for visitors’ animals to defecate in the flowerbeds of “Beržynė” and to dig them up. If you notice such behaviour, please stop it immediately and direct the animal to the designated area. The owner of the pet shall compensate Beržynė for any damage/damage to the plants of Beržynė at a value at least equal to the value of the damaged plant.
33. Pet walking is provided by the “Family Friend’s Pillar” posts next to the houses and the pet area in the corner of Beržynė, next to the car park. If a pet defecates in a different area of Beržynė than the designated area, the owner of the pet must collect and dispose of the pet’s faeces, using the sanitary items (bags) found in the Beržynė cabins.
34. If third parties (guests) use the territory of “Beržynė” at the same time, the pet must be walked outdoors with a leash and a muzzle (when required by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania).

Sauna service and rules for using it:

35. If the sauna is in use, the facilities in the sauna shower (washroom) and toilet are cleaned and disinfected daily. Surfaces likely to come into contact with the skin of service users shall be disinfected with biocidal products that kill tuberculosis bacteria, yeast and spore-forming fungi.
36. Each sauna user shall be supplied with laundry that has been washed, ironed and not used by other sauna users: towels, sauna mats, disposable sauna hats. Separate bathrobes shall not be issued.
37. “The sauna at Beržynė has an electric sauna stove. It is forbidden to pour water on the stove and its stones.
38. “The temperature in the sauna at Beržynė is 80-90 °C.
39. Use of the sauna by drunk persons or persons who are unsafe and risky due to health limitations is prohibited.
40. The safety of children using the sauna is the responsibility of the adults accompanying them. It is forbidden to leave small children in the sauna without adult supervision!

Bathroom service and rules for using it:

41. Every Beržynė bungalow has a private bath.
42. The office bath can be used in all seasons. The only time the bath is not prepared is if it is -10°C or colder outside.
43. A representative of Beržynė arrives and fills the bath with water. The bath is then heated automatically (it takes 6-7 hours to reach the desired temperature).
44. The office bath is heated automatically for an agreed hour. The heat is maintained for 3 hours from the agreed preparation time. After that, the heater switches off and the water starts to cool down, but you can still use the bath.
45. Jumping into the bath is forbidden.

Rules for the use of the biorepository:

46. When you arrive at the lodge, you will find the biodigester ready to use (it will be filled with liquid). Light the bioreactor in the following sequence: 1) Open the burner of the biorepository with the special knob; 2) Light the biorepository with the special lighter attached to the biorepository; 3) The intensity of the fire can be adjusted with the same knob by sliding the cover plate; 4) To extinguish the fireplace, a special black plate with a knob is used to completely cover the entire burner of the fireplace; 5) After extinguishing the fireplace, the burner is left covered with a sliding cover (which adjusts the intensity of the flame); 6) You will find additional liquid for the fireplace in the kitchen cupboard of the house. One tank per day. It is FORBIDDEN to use any other flammable substances or liquids to ignite the bio-fireplace. The safe use of the fireplace is the responsibility of the guests of the chalet.

How to use a gift voucher:

47. “Gift vouchers worth EUR 50, EUR 100, EUR 150, EUR 200, EUR 300 are available on the Beržynė website.
48. Gift vouchers can be used both for booking chalets and for booking additional services. Pre-booking is required!
49. The unique voucher code, the date of purchase and the expiry date are indicated on the voucher. The voucher can only be used once.
50. The voucher is valid for 6 (six) months from the date of purchase. If the voucher is not used within this period, the service is deemed to have been rendered and no refund is given.
51. The voucher is non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
52. Use of the voucher: After creating the basket of services you want, enter the Gift voucher code (number) you have in the “Discount voucher” section at checkout. If the amount of the order is higher than the value of the voucher, the guest/buyer pays the difference using the payment method of his choice. If the value of the basket created is less than the value of the voucher, the difference is not refunded to the guest/buyer. The reservation is confirmed only after the booking has been confirmed (paid).
